A Just:: Cause - Pitching for Partnership Application Form

1. ENTRANTS

Who is eligible?
Charities based in the UK, operating regionally, nationally and internationally.

Written application
Online application form that will help you share with us your aims, expectations and ideas for the communications project or campaign you'd like our help to develop and deliver.

Please note that we will be awarding "grants" of communications resource (which will be delivered as hours of time from the Just:: Health PR team) to at least one project/campaign in the following three categories:

  1. MIND:: Projects focussed on mental health and wellbeing
  2. BODY:: Projects focussed on physical health and wellbeing
  3. SOCIETY:: Projects focussed on health issues with societal impact or involving societal issues

Please feel free to supplement the form with any material that you think will help bring your application to life. This can be uploaded online or sent through the post.

2. ENTRY SHORTLIST

3 entries from each category
11th October – 15th October

Additional information:

To help us find the right partners for our 5% pro bono work, we have developed a clear set of criteria that we will be assessing all written entries against.

We will assess your application by taking account of the following.

  1. Meets a genuine need
  2. The potential to instigate real change
  3. The strength and creativity of the concept
  4. The potential for effective partnership with Just::
  5. How realistic the activity is financially

Scoring written applications against the assessment criteria

We have designed the Pitching for Partnership process to allow us to make fair decisions. We are also committed to being open and honest with you about how we assess your application. We assess each eligible application against the assessment criteria. Just:: Health PR and the judging panel use their expertise and judgement, the evidence in your application and comments from others to come to a score for each assessment criteria. The scores are as follows.

  • Met:: outstanding: the application meets the criteria and shows outstanding qualities. Score = 4
  • Met:: the application meets the criteria and shows strong qualities. Score = 3
  • Met:: the application meets the criteria. Score = 2
  • Potential:: the application does not meet the criteria but shows potential to do so. Score = 1
  • Not met:: the application does not meet the criteria. Score = 0

The top three highest scoring entries from each category will be invited to stage 2 of the assessment process.

3. PITCH PREPARATION

Prepare your presentation and supporting materials
18th October – 5th November

Additional information:

Successful applicants will be invited to meet the Just:: Health PR team at their offices in Putney, London. They will be asked to make a short presentation (followed by a question and answer session) to a judging panel made up of experts in communications, media, healthcare and charity sectors. (link to judges)

The meeting will be around 30 minutes long (15mins presentation and 15mins Q&A). If you are a successful applicant a member of the Just:: team will be in contact with your presentation time and further details about the day.

4. PITCH DAY

Come to the Just:: offices and present your ideas
11th November

Additional information:

We believe that we do our best work when we collaborate with like-minded people on campaigns that we feel passionate about. So, assessing the potential chemistry between our agency and your organisation, and learning more about your cause is central to deciding whether we will commit to it.

We also believe in the tangible impact that innovative communications can have on people’s health and wellbeing and we want to work on projects that have the potential instigate real change.

You will be asked to deliver a short presentation about your organisation and potential project, followed by participation in a question and answer session. The meeting will be around 30 minutes long (15mins presentation and 15mins Q&A).

5. UP TO £50,000 OF COMMUNICATION RESOURCE AWARDED TO EACH WINNER

Winning charity from each category is the entry with the most points after pitch day

Winners will be notified and an announcement made Week commencing 15th November
