Just:: Health PR is a limited company, incorporated in January 2006. It is a specialist healthcare communications agency that supports companies and organisations in promoting products and services with a health message.
Just:: Health PR has a long tradition of charitable support. From its inception, the Founders committed 5% of the agency's forecast income (made available as communications resource) on working pro bono for not for profit organisations. To date we have worked with Beating Bowel Cancer, Family Planning Association, Food for Life and Central YMCA amongst others. We have loved working with a diverse range of partners to deliver communications projects that have delivered impressive results.
We want our 5% to make a real difference and so this year, we have developed a more structured process for identifying causes and organisations we could collaborate with, the initiative is called A Just:: Cause – Pitching for Partnership. We are inviting charities to apply for up to £50,000 per category, a share of £150,000 worth of specialist healthcare communications resource that we have made available. This is how it will work:
Written application
Online application form that will help you share with us your aims, expectations and ideas for the communications project or campaign you'd like our help to develop and deliver
Please feel free to supplement the form with any material that you think will help bring your application to life. This can be posted online or sent through the post
Face-to-face meeting
Successful applicants will be invited to meet the Just:: Health PR team at their offices in Putney, London. They will be asked to make a short presentation (followed by a question and answer session) to a judging panel made up of experts in communications, media, healthcare and charity sectors. For more information on the judges please visit www.ajustcause.org.uk
Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting an application.
Just:: Health PR reserves the right to make the final decision on winning entries if consensus is not reached by the judging panel.
Who is eligible?
Charities based in the UK, operating regionally, nationally and internationally.
We believe that we do our best work when we collaborate with like-minded people on campaigns that we feel passionate about. So, assessing the potential chemistry between our agency and your organisation, and learning more about your cause is central to deciding where we'll commit our resource/time.
To help us find the right partners for our 5% pro bono work, we have developed a clear set of criteria that we will be assessing all written entries against.
Please note that we will be awarding "grants" of communications resource (which will be delivered as hours of time of the Just:: Health PR team) to one project/campaign in the following three categories:
Only the time input required to deliver the communications element of your project/campaign will be covered by Just:: Health PR. Any expense costs associated with the project will need to be paid directly by the charity.
We will assess your application by taking account of the following criteria. Please note that each criterion is of equal importance.
We have designed the Pitching for Partnership process to allow us to make fair decisions. We are also committed to being open and honest with you about how we assess your application. We assess each eligible application against the assessment criteria. Just:: Health PR and their partners use their expertise and judgement, the evidence in your application and comments from others to come to a score for each assessment criteria. The scores are as follows.
The top three highest scoring entries from each category will be invited to stage 2 of the assessment process.
We will use the same assessment criteria and scoring system at the face-to-face meeting. You will be asked to deliver a short presentation about your organisation and potential project, followed by participation in a question and answer session. The meeting will be around 30 minutes long (15min presentation and 15min Q&A).
Following the announcement of the winners, all entrants' scores will be available on request. If you would like to know your scores please send an email to ajustcause@justhealthpr.com.
